CPT is an objective paper-based test where the exam is conducted in two sessions.To know the CPT exam date and application form follow the link. First shift will take place from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm which consists of two subjects Fundamentals of Accounting and Mercantile Law while the next session which takes place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm consists of next two papers General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.
The whole exam will be taken of 200 marks where 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each individual subject are compulsory to clear this exam. ICAI has also maintained a negative marking system in this Common Proficiency Test where for each correct answer students will be granted one mark and for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will get deducted.
